Attention!  Earth Club will be having a campus cleanup on Wednesday, October 26th.   We will be meeting right after school in room 138.  This is a great way to get school-related community service hours for Honor Society.  Please bring your completed t-shirt/sweatshirt order forms to the meeting!  If you do not have an order form and wish to have one, please find Sei or any of the other Earth Club Officers.  Also, please remember to pay your five-dollar dues by the end of this month.  Thank you!

We have a new addition to our WHS after school clubs!  Falcon Fellowship is a student run bible study meeting after school on Tuesday's in Mr. Schindler's classroom # 250A from 1:45 - 3:10 PM.  Come to our first meeting Tuesday, the 25th.

Senior Photo is due to Wingspan by Friday, November 4th.   Image size: 2.25" tall x 1.625" wide at least 300 dpi/ppi.  Submit photo electronically as a .jpeg or .psd file as an attachment.  Email photo to yearbook at wingspaneditors@gmail.com

HONOR SOCIETY UPDATE : Beginning with the current school year, the minimum hour requirement for membership has increased to 30 hours, 5 hours directly benefiting WHS.  On November 18th, juniors and seniors must turn in their applications and documentation of 10 community service hours.  To access honor society forms please visit the Career Center.

HONOR SOCIETY CHILDREN'S BOOK DRIVE: Earn community service hours by donating new or gently used children's books to the Career Center before school and during options.  5 books equal 1 hour, with 2 hours being the maximum you can receive.  Children books grades K-5 (ages 5-11) will only be accepted.  Please choose to recycle young adult and adult books through other appropriate means.  Book drive ends October 28th.

Seattle's National College Fair: All students!!!!  Don't miss the National College Fair coming to Seattle Friday, November 4th, and Saturday, November 5th.  This is a great opportunity for you to have face-time with college admissions officers and to attend valuable workshops.  If you'd like to attend with other WHS students on Friday, you need to pick-up a permission slip in the Career Center.  Permission slips need to be signed by your parents and teachers and are DUE FRIDAY OCTOBER 28th.  We'll take a bus down from WHS Friday morning and be back in time for you to catch afternoon buses home.  More information is available in the Career Center or you can speak with Mrs. Yamada.

Starting November 1st all absences that are not excused within 48 hours will be assigned 4 hours of Saturday School.   It is WHS's policy that all absences must be excused within 48 hours.  Failure to report an absence may result in an unexcused absence.  Absences may be excused by having a parent/guardian call the attendance hotline or by bringing in a written note by your parent/guardian.  Remember when a student accumulates three (3) or more class hours of unexcused absences in a class, regardless of total number of absences, credit is denied and no appeal can occur.  1 block period = 2 class hours of attendance.
