PSAT REGISTRATION: The annual PSAT test will be administered at WHS on Saturday, October 15th, from approximately 8:00 - 11:30 AM.  The test is offered once per year and is the only way for current juniors to qualify a National Merit Scholarship (although sophomores may also register to take the test).  The PSAT is a great, affordable way to practice for the SAT.  Registration will be open in the Main Office from Monday, September 19th until Wednesday October 12th.  No tests will be sold after October 12th.  Registration will be on a first come, first served basis.  The test fee is $18.00 to be paid by cash (exact change required) or check made out to WHS.  All purchases are final; there will be no refunds.

Students, its time to find your W!   To kick off the year, green Ws with the name of every student at WHS were placed in the hallways of the first and second floors.  These were meant for you to find and keep!  Please take a few moments to find and remove your W this week.  All Ws will be removed on Friday, Sept. 23.

Any students that will be parking off campus: There is a limited amount of street parking in the immediate area of WHS.  Please read all posted parking signs and ensure your vehicle is legally parked.  It is encouraged to either carpool to reduce the amount of vehicles or utilize transportation provided through the school.  There will be frequent parking enforcement conducted by the Woodinville Police Department.  Thank you, Officer Volpe.

Community Service Opportunity:  Help keep Woodin Elementary library organized and ready for students!  Tasks may include checking books in/out, shelving books, pulling books requested by teachers, reading shelves (keeping them neat and in order), and putting together book displays.  Volunteers must work independently.  Days/hours: Weekdays: 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Senior Photo is due to Wingspan by Friday November 4th.   Image size: 2.25" tall x 1.625" wide at least 300 dpi/ppi.  Submit photo electronically as a .jpeg or .psd file as an attachment.  Email photo to yearbook at wingspaneditors@gmail.com

Want to get ahead of the game and start collecting Honor Society community service hours?  Kokanee Elementary PTA has some volunteer opportunities coming up and needs volunteers to help out.  Their Entertainment Book PTA fundraiser begins on September 15th and ends in mid-October.  They need volunteers to come on Friday afternoons from September 16th to October 14th to help take inventory and fill orders.  Volunteers will start at 3:45 P.M. and finish in around 2 hours.  Please contact Lisa Balyeat at mlbalyeat@comcast.net for more information about this wonderful opportunity.

Link Crew Leaders: Please sign up outside of room 150A to help out at Open House on September 22.  It's a great way to earn service hours!

STAFF:  

PTSA is providing treats on Thursday, September 22, before Open House to help tide you over.  You will find them in the Staff Lounge.

PTSA is also providing breakfast, juice, and a coffee cart for us on Friday, September 23^rd, 6:15 - 8:15 AM.  Thank you PTSA!
