IMPORTANT! The WHS Main Office will be CLOSED ALL DAY MONDAY, June 6th while we move into our new building.  Attendance and Counseling Departments will remain open in their current location.

Planning on attending Cascadia next year?   The ANDERSON TUITION ASSISTANCE GRANT for $1,500 is available. If you would like to apply go to the following website: http://www.cascadia.edu/campus_resources/financial_aid/scholarships/community.aspx#Anderson .  The application is due JUNE 7th to the Kodiak Corner at Cascadia.

All Sophomore's who signed up for AP US History for next year need to see Mr. Backstrom this week to pick up the SUMMER ASSIGNMENT.  APUS requires we cover five chapters before school begins.  If you are having reservations about the class, see your counselor immediately.

STAFF:

Department Head Meeting: Tuesday, June 7 at 1:50 PM in the library.

The Safety Committee will be giving your yellow emergency bag a facelift!   On June 13th and June 14th, during 4th period, I will be picking up all emergency bags.  The committee has made it a goal to update the outdated list in your emergency bag, and provide each classroom with appropriate supplies for the start of the 2011/12 school year.  If there is an emergency situation between June 13th and our last day of school, we have enough critical supplies in the container to address student and staff needs.  Plus Christie will have her bag of goodies.  PLEASE MAKE SURE the following IS NOT in the yellow emergency bag upon pick-up on the 13th or 14th:

1.) Class Rosters

2.) Metal box full of first aid supplies given to you from Christie Pallette

If you wish to give me the emergency bag beforehand, please contact me at 7533 to arrange a drop off time to my room, L3.  I will not be picking up bags before June 13th.  Contact me if you have any other questions/concerns.  Thanks,  Jeff Monteleone
