STUDENTS:
Woodinville's GSA wants to invite students and staff to join them in a special event. On Thursday, Jan 27th at 1:50p.m. in Room 202 we are having guest speaker Megan Kennedy talk about redefining gender and sexuality. She is a Co-Producer of a documentary, "Put This on the Map," about LGBTA youth in the east side Seattle area. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Everyone is welcome!
Poetry Out Loud, a preliminary National Recitation Contest will be held in the library on Wednesday, January 26 between 1:40-3:30. Come out and support this worthy opportunity!

Advanced Placement and College Credit in the High School
When: January 27, 2011, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Where: Woodinville High School, Main Gym and Commons
Who: Anyone interested in the Advanced Placement (AP) Program or courses offering College Credit at WHS. Parents and students are invited to attend.
What: The Woodinville High School Advanced Placement (AP), Honors & College in the High School Information Night is an opportunity for parents and students to learn and gather information about the AP program, honors and college credit courses that are offered at WHS.
Northshore Foundation Scholarships - Deadline Friday, February 4th!
Northshore Foundation Scholarships applications are available in the Career Center. Many of these scholarships are just for WHS students!!! There are 20 different scholarships available, some awarded to more than one student. APPLY NOW!!!
GI Jungle Tolo will be held on Saturday, February 5, from 8-11pm in the WHS Commons. Tickets will be on sale during both lunches in the Commons from Wed, Feb. 2 - Fri, Feb. 4. The cost is $10 with an ASB sticker and $15 without an ASB sticker. Everyone is welcome! Come by yourself, with a date or a friend, or in a big group. And don't forget to dress up in your most creative and dress-code appropriate camo, jungle, animal print, or safari gear!
FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE:
WHS TALENT & IMPROV SHOW
WHS Drama is hosting a talent show for ALL students. Those who are interested in performing at the talent show must pick up an application from Ms. Herlich in Portable 2. The audition will be after school on Wednesday, February 9th in the Commons. The show will be held at the Northshore Performing Arts Center on Friday, February 11th at 7pm. Admission will be $5, or $3 with ASB. All are welcome to audition and attend!
Attention all Juniors and Sophomores: If you are interested in running for an ASB Officer position (ASB President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Activities Promoter), please pick up a Candidate Application Packet in room 209, 212, or the Main Office. Competed applications are due Friday, February 11th to Mrs. Skone's box in the Main Office. Class Officer elections and the selection process for ASB Appointed Positions will be held at a later date. Please ask a current officer or Mrs. Skone if you have any questions.
STAFF:
Please be reminded that when you are 'absent' but still here at school and using your parking spot, you need to inform your sub to park in one of the spots available over in the section where the Administration bldg staff parks. Those spots have changed and are now #31 - 33 - 34 - 35 - 38 - 39. They need to have a green slip from the office on their dashboard if possible. Thank you!
