Daily Fact from Earth Club:  More than 50,000 turtles are killed a year suffocating on the trash we throw in the oceans!  Littering counts as killing a sea turtle.  Wind blows waste materials that could have been thrown on the ground into our oceans, endangering our oceanic wildlife.
