During the 2013-2014 school year EAP students will be offered transportation via a hub system. Shelton View and Bear Creek, our EAP schools, each have two schools designated as transportation hubs. Parents will have the option of utilizing one of the designated hubs for transportation for their child to and from school.  The hub schools are:

  • Bear Creek:  Kokanee and Woodmoor
  • Shelton View:  Crystal Springs and Lockwood

If your student is enrolled in EAP please complete the 2013-2014 EAP Transportation Form located here.

After School Junior high Activity Bus Transportation

Activity route buses for a Junior high School have limited stops to surrounding neighborhoods. This service is to assist families with afterschool transportation when students stay after school for activities (sports, clubs, detention, etc). The after school routes do not have the same bus stop locations as the regular routes. 1 or 2 bus routes cover the same area in the evening that a dozen bus routes regularly cover in the AM/PM. Bus stops are limited, to insure all students are transported home in a timely manner and the cost to the schools are minimal. It is the parents' responsibility to select the stop closest to their residence and familiarize their child with this information in the event he/she needs to utilize after school transportation.

Please contact your school to inquire about activity bus availability on specific days. For the route/stop information please click here.

Kindergarten Transportation

Bus drivers will be contacting parents of kindergarteners prior to the first day of school introducing themselves and confirming stop times and locations. Please check with your student's elementary school for dates and times of Kindergarten Orientation.

Secondary Academy for Success (SAS)

SAS students will take the high school bus to their service area high school where they will take a shuttle to SAS.

Elementary Band Transportation

In order to receive transportation, elementary band students must attend band at their junior high feeder pattern school. Transportation will provide a shuttle back to their feeder pattern elementary school unless they attend a neighboring school. These basic rules apply to instruments permitted on Northshore School District Buses:

  • The instrument is the student's responsibility and must remain with the student while on the bus.
  • The instrument must be placed on a child's lap or fit between their legs and the seat in front of them (along with their backpack and other school supplies)
  • Instruments and music stands must be in a case and remain in the case while on the bus.
  • There must be sufficient space on the bus (if space is limited, students, not instruments, have priority).
  • Students with instruments larger than a standard backpack need to sit in the front of the bus.

Due to safety reasons, full sized cellos and other large instruments are not permitted on the bus. Please call a trainer for individual assessments at
425-408-7916 or 425-408-7914.
