2013-14 Class/Club Schedule
Northshore Networks offers a variety of classes for our students. Please see the schedule and course description page. We also offer a Fitness Club which meets after school at the SAS location.
Clothing Choices & the Dress Code
Please remind your student, as applicable, that low-cut tops, tanks and/or halter tops that do not cover the middle of the back, shirts that expose too much midriff, skirts and shorts that do not reach the length of the student’s index finger when the arm is extended and clothing that does not cover undergarments are not appropriate at school or school events.
The dress code at Northshore Networks is an important part of creating a positive and non-disruptive environment for all students. Our students' dress reflects the quality of our school, their conduct, and their schoolwork.
Attendance at Nortshore Networks
This year we are excited to add auto dialer to our classroom attendance. If a student misses a class time, the teacher will mark them absent and an automated call will be sent home. Attendance is required for both classes and consulting times. As was mentioned in the intake meetings, because this program is a mixture of parent/student instruction and teacher instruction, it is critical that students attend every "school time". If there is an emergency or illness, please remember to contact the classroom teacher or consultant to make that time up. If you feel that your student has been marked absent in error, please contact the teacher or consultant.
Welcome to the
We are a choice school in the Northshore School District welcoming diverse students in grades 1-12. Students who attend Northshore Networks experience a high level of teacher support and learning focused on student readiness, talent, interest and personal responsibility.
Our main focus is to help our students realize their academic potential so they meet the graduation requirements for post secondary options. Northshore Networks is a state funded individualized, customized, independent learning program for Northshore students and families as an option to the traditional learning environment.
In our Contract Learning program, consulting teachers are skilled in customizing curriculum to match student learning styles and personal needs. During the initial meetings the teacher, parent and student prepare an Education Plan which includes mandatory attendance at weekly consulting and classes.
This individualized plan includes curriculum that will meet our state and district standards. Consulting teachers are able to provide all of the textbooks and materials needed to implement the student’s learning plan. Assignments are given in each subject area weekly. Parents are encouraged to support and guide the learning at home.
Enrollment packets are available at the Northshore Networks main office in the Monte Villa Administration building or may be downloaded from this site, please see Northshore Networks Overview -> Enrollment Instructions/Forms. For more information contact the Main office of Northshore Networks at (425) 408-4175.
