About the Canyon Creek Library

The heart of Coyote Country

The Canyon Creek library is home to approximately 600 "coyotes." The library is open daily from 8:15-3:15.  Our library boasts close to 12,000 books and materials available for students, staff and parents.  These items can be located using our OPAC (Online Patron Access Catalog) which is available outside school through this site.  We currently have 12 networked computer stations that can be used to access this catalog.  In addition, library computers are used for research and assigned classroom projects.

Students have scheduled library times weekly as well as individual access before school and after school.  Each class has a 45 minute block of time, where they come to the library for a 30 minute skills lesson and a 15 minute checkout.  Books are checked out for two weeks at a time and can be renewed.

The library collection is funded through district-allocated budget, bookfairs and PTA support.

The program is run by a certficated teacher-librarian, who has a teaching and  library degree,  as well as a group of dedicated parent volunteers!
