 New Student Profile Rebecca Farnsworth Rebecca Farnsworth is a sophomore who started going to SAS this grading period. She decided to come to SAS after moving from California. Previously, Rebecca attended a charter school in California. Outside of school Rebecca likes to play videogames, hang out with friends, go shopping, and occasionally go kayaking. Some of Rebecca’s favorite subjects are peer tutoring, math, and art. She likes art because it gives her the opportunity to express her emotions. Rebecca likes to peer tutor because she enjoys helping people. When Rebecca first came to SAS, she was nervous because at other schools she had been bullied, but she hasn’t had those problems here. Rebecca likes SAS because people here are less judgmental and nicer. Rebecca’s favorite teacher so far is Robert because he is so chill.  New Student Profile Holly Gibson Holly Gibson is a sophomore who started going to SAS this grading period. She decided to switch from SAS after going to Woodinville High School because of stress Holly was excited when she came to SAS because she hadn’t been to school in a while. She likes that there is no homework and how everyone at SAS has their own story. She feels like SAS is a positive environment. Holly is a pescetarian, which means she is a vegetarian, but eats Fish. Holly decided to become a pescetarian because she doesn’t like how unhealthy meat in America has become because of factory farming methods. Holly eats fish because it is healthy and she needs protein. In her free time Holly likes to dance. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Holly dances to ballet, modern, jazz, and the hip hop the hippie to the hip hip hop you don’t stop the rock it to the bang bang boogie say up jumped the boogie. New Student Profile Montana Sanelli Montana Sanelli went to Kenmore Junior High in 9th grade and decided to come to SAS in 10th grade because her counselor had recommended it to her because her grades were not up to par. Montana has been at SAS for about 8 months and loves it. Montana described the teachers at SAS to be more laid back and more understanding, she also stated that she prefers SAS students over regular high school students, because SAS students are more respectful and more laid back. Montana plans on staying at SAS throughout her high school years, and plans on graduating from SAS. Montana’s grades have improved tremendously since joining the SAS family. She has made more credits than before at Kenmore Junior High. |
New Student Profile Mandi Jennings Mandi Jennings is a junior at SAS, who attended Bothell High School her sophomore year. Mandi chose to come to SAS because she wasn't making enough credit to graduate on time. Mandi has been attending SAS for about 8 months. She wants to graduate from SAS because she works better at SAS and is more comfortable. Her grades have gotten noticeably better and she will graduate on time.
