The Moorlands' Character Education Program began in 1999. Our goal is to be a community that understands the value of character, desires to care about being people of strong character and apply positive character in our daily lives. Traits are discussed with students and supported through literature, quotes and posters, our Discipline Plan, Student Council activities, PTA service projects and assemblies. Every other month each teacher nominates students from their class who they feel have shown that they are Student of Character. The names of these students are then posted in the Moorlands Weekly Reader, here on this webpage and on a Students of Character Recognition Wall in the school office. Remember, Character Counts! |
