The legal name of this local unit is Skyview Junior High PTSA 6.10.69.

This unit incorporated as a non-profit organization in the State of Washington on June 26, 1992. It is the responsibility of this unit to file an Annual Corporation report prior to July 1st. This unit's State unified business identifier number and assigned corporation account number are available to members upon request. The registered agent for this corporation is Washington State PTA.

This unit's Federal Employer Identification number is available to members upon request.

The IRS recognized this unit as a tax exempt organization on December 4, 1992, under section 501 ©3. The treasurer is responsible for filing tax form 990 to the IRS if required.

This unit shall keep at least two copies of it's legal documents in two separate locations. The Secretary and the Treasurer shall maintain the documents.

The membership service fee of this unit shall be $14.00 per membership, $25 for double. (was $13 & $23 for double)

The students of Skyview Junior High shall be considered honorary members of this unit without voice, vote and are given voice but not vote or privilege of holding office.

The Nominating Committee, consisting of three members, shall be elected in accordance with the by-laws at a General Membership meeting each year.

The elected officers and /or co-officers of this unit shall be President, 1st Vice-President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The office of Treasurer shall only be a single officer. These elected officers shall be members of the Skyview PTSA. These elected officers shall constitute the Executive Board.

No person shall serve in the same elected office for more than two (2) consecutive years.

If any vacancy occurs in an office, the Board will appoint an acting officer to serve until the next meeting at which time there will be an election.

The Board of Directors shall consist of elected officers and standing committee chairpersons. All members of the board must be current members of the Unit. Board meetings of this unit shall be held a minimum of one time yearly. The following committees shall constitute this Unit's standing committees: Hospitality Legislation
Staff appreciation Emergency Preparedness

General membership meetings of this unit shall be held on Wednesdays a minimum of 4 times yearly. One meeting shall be held in March, which will hold the election of officers for the coming year.

All members of the Board of Directors shall be current members of the Skyview PTSA

The Golden Acorn award(s) shall be presented annually to one or more outstanding volunteers. The Golden Acorn committee shall consist of the previous year's winner(s) and general member(s) to equal three committee members total.

Voting delegate(s) to the State PTA Legislative Assembly shall be the Legislative Chairperson unless otherwise delegated by the Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee shall approve voting delegate(s) to the Annual State PTSA Convention.

The standing rules shall be adopted annually at the first General Membership meeting. They may be amended at any regular General Membership meeting.

A budget shall be prepared by the Budget Committee, consisting of incoming and outgoing executive committees. It shall be approved at a General Membership meeting in the spring and re-approved at the first General Membership meeting of the school year.

A quorum for a General Membership meeting shall consist of no less than ten members. A quorum for the board meetings shall be a majority of those on the board. Voting by proxy and ballot by mail is not allowed.

The Skyview PTSA shall conduct an audit of it's books and records in January of each year in addition to the required audit at the close of the fiscal year of June 30th.

The Executive Committee has the authority to approve reallocations of budget line items, if necessary and if funds are available, but not to exceed $200.00 per line item.

These standing rules shall be in compliance with the Washington State PTA Uniform By laws.
