Anderson, Jodie Lynn, May Bird reviewed by Cheylan
I think the May Bird is very interesting and you won't want to put it down. May Bird lives in White Moss Manor, right by Brier Swamp. She pretends to be a warrior princess in the woods and her brave cat, Sidekick, who is her only friend, is right there with her. One day when she was playing in the woods, she finds a lake. You'll have to read the book to find out how, but she ends up on the "other side."
In the After Life, May Bird tries to find her way home, and she meets Pumpkin, her House Ghost, Fabbio, who died in a plane crash, Beatrice(Bea), who died from typhoid, and many other strange creatures. She is challenged to be a REAL warrior princess and has to fight off ghouls, goblins, zombies, and worst of all, Evil Bo Cleevil and his sidekick the Bogey or Boogy Man.
In the series there is also the 2nd book, May Bird, Among the Stars and the 3rd book, May Bird, Warrior Princess.
In my opinion, May Bird is a very exiting book about friendship and bravery. This is the best book I have ever read and I encourage you to read it as soon as you can.
Bunting, Eve SOS Titanic Reviewed by Antonio
I recommend this dramatic, intense, way better than the movie Titanic book, SOS Titanic. It is based on a real event. It is sad and it is happy. It is a romantic story and I think you should read this book because it is very good.
Deneburg, Barry. Dear America, So Far From Home By Anna
Dear America is a breathtaking series of books, each written by a different author. The book I chose from the series is called So Far From Home and it is The Diary Of Mary Driscoll. Mary Driscoll was originally from Ireland. She travels to America and discovers the true meaning of work. She has to work in the mills and rich girls make fun of her and laugh except for a girl named Annie. Annie becomes one of her best friends. Mary is faced with many choices that many people have to make. That is why I like this book!
