Larry Francois

When I met with school leaders in early August to prepare for the school year, I shared with them a little about the dominant influence in my life - my family. As the youngest of 12 children, I enjoyed growing up in a home that provided a clear sense of how each of us contributes to the larger community. That experience made me who I am today, and these are some of the core values that I bring to Northshore.

• Being part of something larger than yourself creates a sense of purpose and meaning.

• Humility is a necessary life condition.

• Integrity, character, and trust are more verbs than nouns.

• The actions of one reflect on all.

• Be accountable for yourself and know your responsibility to others

• Motivation and satisfaction come primarily from within.

• Relationships enhance results.

• Don't take yourself too seriously because no one else does.
  

While these are my personal values, the community values that Northshore schools strive to support are implied in the district's mission statement: strengthening our community through excellence in education.

During this school year we will focus on moving forward together to define instructional priorities and service levels. Our goal is to agree on how best to maintain the high quality educational programs for which Northshore schools are known.
