AFTER SCHOOL STUDY begins Wednesday September 23
After school on Wednesdays, the Leota Library is available for students to do research, homework, work in small groups on projects, do word processing, and complete any other school assignments. Students will have access to research materials, books, and computers. Help is available, but this is not private tutoring.
After School Study is not a club. Students are not required to join and they may come as often or as little as needed. Students will be supervised and they must arrive in the library by 2:35. They will sign in and remain in the library until 4:25, when the Activity buses arrive. If a student needs to leave before 4:25, he/she needs a note from a parent to leave early. Otherwise, the parent must speak to Ms. Dickson on the phone in the library at 425-408-6511. Arrangements and permission from parents to stay for After School Study must be made ahead of time. All school rules apply, so there are no snacks, drinks, or electronic devices that are not related to academic work. Cell phones must be on "vibrate", and only used with permission. If students need a snack after school, they should do so in the hallway outside the library between the end of classes at 2:25 and the beginning of After School Study at 2:35. Any other arrangement needs a note to Ms. Dickson from a Parent concerning a student's special needs. All students must be in a supervised activity to remain on campus after 2:35. If you have further questions concerning these guidelines, please call Ms. Dickson at her classroom extension: 425-408-6537. If you have questions on a Wednesday, please call her after 2:45 at the Leota Library extension: 425-408-6511. |
