School Lunch Program

Northshore is part of the National School Lunch Program. Lunch is offered in all Northshore schools and many schools also offer breakfast before school. We serve meals that are convenient, economical and healthy to our students daily.

Our menus are designed to provide good nutrition, variety and best service possible for your children. We continually look for new menu items to offer.

Most elementary students eat in their classrooms. Students at Bear Creek, Canyon Creek, Cottage Lake, Fernwood, Kokanee, Lockwood and Woodin eat in cafeteria-type settings. All elementaries offer a choice of two entrees served with a "Five-Star" Salad Bar which includes at least two fruit choices, two vegetable choices, a tossed green salad with dressing and milk. Cartons of milk or juice can also be purchased separately. The cost of lunches is subject to change annually.

Elementary menus are distributed monthly and are available on-line (see below). Nutritional information is also available.

All secondary schools have cafeterias and students choose from deli, Mexican, Italian and grill lunches in addition to a la carte items that are priced separately. Milk is included in the price of a full meal. Cartons of milk or juice can also be purchased separately.

        Payment

Parents can prepay on their student's accounts by sending cash or check (made out to Northshore School District). Parents may also pay with credit card using Discover, Mastercard or VISA by contacting PayPams.

        PayPAMs (Parent Account Management Systems)

The PayPAMS program accepts Mastercard, Discover and VISA. PayPAMS will charge $1.95 per payment transaction for a processing fee. The school district does not accept credit card payments via the food service phone number.  Fees are not charged when a family pays by cash or check (made out to the Northshore School District) at school.  The student's ID number should be included with all payments.

To set up an account, visit
www.paypams.com or call 888-994-5100.  The first time you contact PayPAMS, you will be asked to register your information and choose the student(s) you wish to link to your credit card payments.

        Benefits of PayPAMS include:

        • Payment access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the Internet or telephone
        • Schedule automatic payments based on account balance
        • Review of cafeteria purchases online
