What to look for in a site:
Often evaluation will cover different criteria at one time, ie authority and purpose. URL: (Uniform Resource Locater) Used to identify and find different pages on the internet
A person's individual web site is often indicated by a ~ (called a tilda) in the individual page name. http://www.anydomain.com/students/~bob Top Level Domain Names: (TLDs).com, .gov, .mil, .org,.net, .edu The selected TLDs are: .aero (forthe air-transport industry), .biz (for businesses), .coop (for cooperatives),.info (for all uses), .museum (for museums), .name (for individuals), and .pro(for professions). Up-dated pages (computer code?) Would you like to know when a specific Web page was last updated? Go up to Tools, scroll down to Page Info, and look for Modified.
