Northshore Networks is a state funded individualized, customized, independent learning program for Northshore students and families as an option to the traditional learning environment.
In our Contract Learning program, teachers provide and instruct the required district curriculum leading to a Northshore School District diploma. The parent and student meet one hour per week with their teacher/consultant for direct instruction and weekly assignments. The primary curriculum support and daily learning schedule is monitored by the parent in the home setting.
After school clubs are offered in the elective areas of art, drama, Junior High Block humanities, fitness and science. Support for High School math is also provided one afternoon per week. Students must be enrolled in our consulting program in order to participate in clubs.
HomeZone; a swim/gym/art program offered through the Northshore YMCA, is available to Northshore Networks consulting students and also to non-consulting home-based families. When enrolled at Northshore Networks, a voucher is provided for the majority of the cost of the program.
Admission in Northshore Networks is through an application and interview process. New applicants are interviewed weekly. An interview is not required for the HomeZone program.
Enrollment packets are available at the Northshore Networks main office in the Anderson Building Campus or may be downloaded from this site, please see Northshore Networks Overview -> Enrollment Instructions/Forms.
Currently the Northshore Networks program is housed at both the Bothell campus and Leota Northshore Networks campus in Woodinville.
In the fall of 2010, Northshore Networks
will open at our new campus in the
Northshore Administration Building
3330 Monte Villa Parkway, Bothell, WA 98021
We are privileged to offer this quality program option to Northshore students, families, and community.
