Then the ELL Classroom Tips are for you!
The following tips are a few examples of "Sheltered Instruction"
which is an apporach for teaching content to English learners while
promoting their reading, writing, listening and speaking language
abilities. These linguistically and culturally diverse learners enter
school with a vast range of language proficiencies in their native
language as well as in English. They bring a wide variety of educational
and cultural experiences to the classroom from which to build
successful educational experiences. These characteristics have
implications for instruction and assessment.
