Welcome to the 2012-13 school year at Sunrise Elementary School!  I am excited about the opportunity I have to serve as your principal, and am looking forward to the start of another year.  Our faculty also invites you to be part of the excitement and challenges of this coming school year for about 310 students.  The staff is committed to making each student feel welcome and important as we attempt to meet their many diverse needs each day.  We want our students to feel safe and secure enough in the classroom to take risks and try new things, because this is how growth occurs.

As we begin this year, you need to know that we are eager to get to know you better.  We want you to visit, to participate, and to become involved in our school.  With your support, we continue to foster the kind of positive climate where students, parents, and staff are working together to help students realize their fullest potential, both academically and personally.

This  booklet was designed to provide you with important information regarding school procedures, expectations and activities.  To help your child understand the responsibilities at school, please carefully review it together.
