Budget Workshops
These workshops will provide a chance to share positive ideas
about how to sustain the high quality education for which Northshore is
known. Table discussions with parents, staff, and community members
will enable all to participate. Workshops are schedule for March 3, 10 & 17 at each high school cafeteria from 7-9
p.m.

Classified Employee Excellence Award
Northshore classified employees support student success every day. Nominate your favorite bus driver, custodian, paraeducator, secretary, nurse, food-service worker, or other non-teacher staff member for the state's Classified Employee Excellence Award. The deadline is Feb. 20.

BECU's School Grants Program
Teachers, principals, and even PTAs can apply for grants and other school support from BECU. Grants are centered on funding educational materials and programs that directly benefit the education of students. Priority will be given to Western Washington schools on the percentage of their free and reduced school lunches. Application deadline is March 15.

Northshore partnered with HomeStreet Bank to offer the Home Town Home Loan Program, an employer-assisted housing program, to all employees. This program offers a wide selection of home loan options for either your first home or a refinancing.

2009 Retirement Planning Seminars
The Edmonds School District and the Sno-King School Retirees are co-hosting the 2009 Retirement Planning Seminars
for the Northshore employees. These sessions are provided for employees
and spouses at no cost and confirmation to attend is not necessary.

Midwinter Workshop
ESD #121 will present a Mid-Winter Workshop on March 7 at 7:30 AM at the Northshore Performing Arts Center
with featured speakers Jeremy Johnson and Gordon Linse. Cost is $15, which
includes a box lunch if paid by February 27.

Woodinville junior Hailey Wells, despite a weeklong bout with a head
cold, won the KingCo 4A gymnastics all-around championship and led her
team to the title.

published and delivered to your e-mail box every other week during the
school year, (once a month in July and December). It is designed to
inform employees about the strategic direction of the Northshore School
District as well as provide routine information of interest to district
employees. To submit items for e-News, please send them to e-News
Editor by the Tuesday of each School Board meeting.
