No, it's
not a Family Feud rerun, but one way Northshore is prioritizing
items for the 2009-10 budget. We're asking you to take a short,
4-question survey, results of which will be used by staff and the board to determine budget priorities.

High School Programs Information Night
Northshore
will host a first-ever district-wide high school programs night on February 11, from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at Bothell High
School. The programs presented include Advanced Placement (AP), College in the
High School, International Baccalaureate (IB), Running Start, and Tech
Prep.

Efficiency at Wellington
The old heaters at Wellington Elementary have been replaced by a much more sophisticated system, one that is quieter, less noisy and much more efficient. The new system is projected to save the district about $26,000 annually. KUOW profiled the improvement.

Staying Safe in Cyberspace

class designed to show how to protect kids from online predators and
other Internet dangers. Safety online comes not from software filters

Drug and Alcohol Parent Meeting
Bothell High's ASB will host a Drug & Alcohol Parent Information Night on February 9, from 7:00-8:15 PM in the Northshore Performing Arts Center.
Panelists will share experiences and information.

"A Call to Action: Ample Funding for Washington Schools"
The Northshore PTA Council invites you to view a
Northshore-focused, 11-minute video which provides an excellent
overview of the education funding crisis and the effect on students, on January 26, at 7:00 p.m. in Northshore's Administrative Center. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and learn how you can make your voice heard to the legislature.

PACE
PACE is a school-based, parent
choice program offered for first through sixth graders in which families must
commit to a minimum of 80 hours per year of program support. Deadline for applications is February 4.
