National Junior Honor Society at KMS

The purpose of the National Junior Honor Society is:
• To create enthusiasm for Scholarship
• To stimulate a desire to render Service
• To promote Leadership
• To develop Character
• To encourage Citizenship

Membership Requirements


·The applicant must complete and properly record, 10 hours of Community Service for a Non-Profit Organization located in King or Snohomish counties. Service must be completed between August 10, 2016 and March 2, 2017. Please be sure to read, and fill out properly, the Community Service form. 
 
·The applicant must have a 3.5 citizenship “grade” average.  Please see documents for how this is determined. In addition, the applicant must consistently show exemplary behavior on campus and be a positive role model for other Kenmore students throughout the year. They must demonstrate high standards of Character, Scholarship, Leadership and Service, abiding by all policies specified in the Kenmore Middle School Rights and Responsibilities Handbook.

· A completed application packet, properly completed with all required signatures, must be turned by Friday March 3, 2017 before 3:00 pm. The turn-in bins will be in the front office and in the band room.

· Maintain a minimum 3.50 Cumulative GPA

· Purchase a current ASB sticker
