The Northshore School District nominates all kindergarten students for services in Grade 1 by using the CogAT 7 Screener in March of the kindergarten year.

The district also nominates all 2nd and 6th grade students for services the following school year (2015-16) by administering the ITBS reading and math to all students in the grade level in December, 2014. It is not necessary for parents to nominate a current second or sixth grader for consideration for highly capable services the following school year.
