Mrs. Tara Martin is the Bear Creek Learning Center teacher. We have two Para-educators who support our classroom, Mrs. Vicki Bingea and Mrs. Sharon Maynard. Our diverse student population includes students with learning and/or behavior differences who require specialized instruction to meet their individual goals. We provide instruction to Kindergarten through sixth grade students in a small group instructional setting with group size ranging from one to nine students with each instructor. Student's receive their individually designed support in reading, written language, mathematics, social skills and learning behaviors. We work closely with parents and other team member's to provide the best program possible for each student's individual learning and/or behavior needs.
I believe in carefully analyzing and diagnosing the student's specific need and providing intensive, targeted instruction to ensure progress is made and goals are achieved. I also believe that a student's emotional well being is the primary ingredient for academic success. Student's are acknowledged for meeting their goals, consistently cared for, and are proud of their work in the Learning Center.
