Thought for the day from Martin Luther King:

The time is always right to do what is right.

KJH 3rd season sports; 7thand 8th grade girls basketball and 7thand 8th grade wrestling, begins Monday, January 23rd.  Be sure and submit all your paperwork online as soon as possible or come to the office if you need assistance.

Did you attend Lockwood Elementary in the PACE Program?  Were you a student in Lisa Veinpel's (Pronounced Vine-pel) 2nd grade class?   Lockwood Elementary would like to invite former students and parents of Lisa Veinpel to an open house this Monday, January 23rd from 2:30 - 3:30.  Miss Lisa is moving to Eastern Washington and we would like to send her off with good wishes from former parents and students. Please stop by Lockwood Elementary anytime between 2:30 - 3:30.

Mr. ML would like to thank all the participants in the 2017 Geography Bee.  Our 3rd place winner was Peter Yamane.  The 2nd place winner was Samuel Clinston.  And our 2017 Champion, who will go on to represent KJH at the regional and state levels, is Adan Rodriguez.

Next Tuesday come join Hang Time for Taco Tuesday.  You will be able to make and eat your own tacos!

Bingo! Your PTSA is hosting BINGO NIGHT on Friday, January 27 from 6:30 to 8:30pm in the cafeteria. Free to play, fun to win! There will be pizza and nachos for $2, and lots of raffle prizes too, just $1 a ticket. The whole family is welcome. Bring your friends! The money raised goes to KJH PTSA. See you there!

Next Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday during Colt Time there will be a dodgeball tournament in the gym. Get five players and sign up in the gym foyer by Friday. There are three divisions so you can pick your opponents and skill level. During the tournament, the gym will only be used for the dodgeball tournament. Soccer, basketball, and volleyball will resume the first week of second semester. If you have any questions, see the PE teachers.

On Friday, February 10th, the new Northshore Superintendent, Dr. Reid, will be at KJH to meet with a few students from each grade level for “Breakfast Club”.
